Has everyone seen the whole mobile thing going on with imvu? ranging from their alpha messenger to the ringtons and games?
It seems they are trying to hit a more popular market now and try to gain more funds by utilizing the mobile market. I feel this is a swamping effect, meaning that the market in that area is already filled with advertisements and options for phone carriers and their games/ringtones.
Could this be too much or is IMVU trying to get its grubby little hands in every possible area that it can reach?
Do you think that it would be a realy good idea for imvu to have their own mobile messenger system? or would it be just something else you can be billed data chareges for? and yes you are billed data charges, which means it wont be for a cheap penny! They of course will also bill you $9.00 a month for access to the ringtones and games but, on the plus side you would recieve extra credits for signing up and additional credits 'at a later time' which probably means if you advertise it to others you would gain cred. which is not a bad thing in my mind but im not paying 9 bucks a month for something im realy not going to be using constantly. Besides! my verizon account gives me access to a ton of games and ring tones at a nice cheep price!
So, with all the hype that imvu will be putting into this advertisement program will it realy be worth the trouble? you decide...
