How to download brush for gimp with XP or Vista.
1st : Download your brushes at one of those site below.

2nd : Save them all in a folder on your deskopt to make it faster, like a Brushe Doc.
3rd : You have 3 options here :
- Keep the folder there and let it be forever here (a bit annoying by time)
- Copy paste the folder in your My documents folder or in your IMVU Files if you have one.""
- Copy paste all the *.GBR (gimp brushes) in the "C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\brushes"
*If you choose one of both first options do this in your gimp :
- Open gimp and go in the main windows with all the tools
- Go in preferences, folder, brushe, click on the icon that look like a sheet of paper and go find the folder where you put it.
Atfer all that go in gimp - brushes (CTRL-SHIFT-B) and click the refresh button one or 2 times. And there you go!

For Linux User it's the same thing but in this folder : /home/'YourName'/.gimp/brushes
