Vista issues

I don't know if you have noticed but the vista users are having issues submitting anything tot he catalogue, we get the by now famous check sum cfl error. I am doing everything I normally have done before, have been able to update with Vista since June till 4 weeks ago. Those with Vista have started a thread on IMVU with NO contact at all from anyone who can help, so I am asking does anyone here have an older copy of the previewer we can use that may fix this awful problem?!

how old a version are you looking for?

Do you have the second most recent to the one we currently have? I am thinking i got the update not knowing that it would change for me.

alright i had 1.9 something then found out they made a version 3

the previewer download is on the portal you can check to see if thats the version you need? otherwise i would have to dig up an older version.

Actually I got the fix! ;-) I was digging around in the imvu forums and found a solution. I tried it and all better.

The checksum error the Vista people are getting is the previewer is saying that the file is not in the imvutools2 folder more or less, so someone said Save the file (the cfl file in the previewer) to a Folder in your Documents like "my cfl files".
The path shows up on the uploader page and it works fine. ;-)

interesting in deed but glad none the less that you found a solution.
still cant get my projects to show up in the previewer but suppose that is a different subject all together lol..

what kind of error are you getting? Have you let imvu know? I don't know why all a sudden the imvutools2 folder won't work for vista peoples trying to upload catalogue products in imvu. Seems more imvu's issue than vista, as in if vista worked from the beginning, it would be imvu's change to all of a sudden to make it not work from there...

agreed but mines more that the head just doesn't show up..no matter what i do the stupid thing stays invisible..(shrug) ill figure it out eventually.
some things imvu realy needs to learn to control better or configure correctly...

I agree the next 20 updates to the client needs to be all fixes lol

If you're still using the 1.9 version, a lot of new products won't show in it. I usually use the 1.9 to do my product shots for my catalog, when I submit new items. Sometimes, even if I have the product saved, it'll come up invisible, or won't show at all.

Anywho, the new previewer seems to be doing the same thing.
I think they may depreciate values through the server, so certain items won't show up any more.

*cough* I use Linux and sometimes XP, the other day I get on my BF laptop wich have Vista. If you are using FIREFOX, This may happen this bullshit error of CFL checksum error. When clicking submit the product to the catalog, if it opens in a FireFox tab, copy the link and paste in IE (internet explorer) instead, It will works. I had this problem, if did this, and it worked. Hope it will works for you.
